Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will have responsibility for mechanical subsystems, Design Partner relationships, and Production/Customer engineering support. They will be part of the Hardware Engineering Team at Digital Alloys. They will manage and directly work on the product development cycle of subsystems, including but not limited to product engineering, product design, simulation, numerical modeling, manufacturing, and quality control.

Skills and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

  • Responsible for autonomously completing Hardware Development projects
  • Generate innovative yet simple solutions to technical problems
  • Concept generation, design, and mathematical modeling of mechanical systems
  • Manage supplier relationships
  • Create/review/approve Manufacturing Drawings and SOPs
  • Provide and manage Engineering support for Production and Customer Support

 VALUED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Controls, embedded systems, and software skills
  • FEA

 Education and Experience

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 4+ years progressive experience in Product Development and/or Robotics
  • MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering is a (+)
