Carey Chen is the CEO and board vice chair of Cincinnati Incorporated, manufacturer of large scale industrial equipment including press brakes, shears, lasers, powder metal machines, and BAAM (Big Area Additive Manufacturing). He has previously worked as CFO & CIO of Hypertherm, Inc. and VP of finance of Wiremold | Legrand. Carey serves as board director and treasurer of the American Welding Society.
Dr Michael Foley is a Managing Partner with Artemis Capital Partners. He has spent his career in industrial technology companies that produce automated systems, medical devices, electro-mechanical and electrical-optical equipment, plastic components and films, with a special technical expertise in polymers, optics, metrology, and instrumentation. Before joining Artemis, Foley was the CEO of Reflexite Corporation, a specialty manufacturer of polymeric coated films. Prior to Reflexite, Foley was VP/General Manager at Life Sciences International, a company that made analytical instrumentation and related polymeric consumables for life sciences markets. Foley played a key role in successful exits from Reflexite and LSI, generating over a half a billion dollars in shareholder liquidity at strategic valuations. Foley has 3 engineering degrees (SB, SM, and PhD), all from MIT.
Jason Norris is the Managing Director for The Bernstein Companies where he built a $100MM+ group focused in the tax credit sector. He is co-founder of Elektrofi which is a startup out of MIT based around biomedical nanotechnologies. Before joining the board, Jason was the lead investor for NVBOTS®. He received his MBA from MIT.
Vijit is a venture partner at Khosla Ventures, where he focuses on emerging physical and life science technologies spanning a broad range of sectors including consumer, health, energy, sustainability, computation and communications. Prior to Khosla Ventures, Vijit was a co-founder and the CEO of Solar Junction, a manufacturer of high-efficiency multi-junction solar cells. Vijit holds a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering and computer science with highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley. He also holds a master’s of science degree and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University, where he received a National Science Foundation fellowship and a Stanford electrical engineering department fellowship.
